During the first coronavirus lockdown in early 2020 I joined forces with Manchester creatives, Playground and Barney Ibbotson illustration to co-create a global design brief. We challeged creatives from all over the globe to design something to encourage play during lockdown using only items found in or around their homes.
We received over 100 entries from 40 different countries worldwide, featuring 80 of our favourites in a book which was sold to raise money for The National Emergencies Trust Coronavirus Appeal.
The competition also featured as part of the Wild in Art 'Windows of Creativity' art trail in Summer 2020. Our window featured a motorised moving contraption designed by Barney Ibbotson and constructed by Playground with a framed print and special edition of our book later auctioned off for charity.
